Clarification
A March 6 Morgan Hill Times front page story was not clear about a plea entered to a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. Travis Dalla, 20, was charged after an accident in June that led to the death of Nicholas Schindler, 20. Dalla entered a plea of "no contest" to the charge. A no contest plea has the same effect in a criminal case as a guilty plea, according to Assistant District Attorney Lynn Knapp. The only difference in the two pleas, he said, would be in the event of a civil case. Dalla was sentenced to 45 days in Santa Clara County Jail.
