A former gang member turned author, Art Rodriguez visited Central Continuation High School students Wednesday to share his experiences growing up in East San Jose. His book, 'East Side Dreams,' details his challenging childhood and his involvement with a gang. He talked to students about how he managed to pull himself out of that lifestyle and into a productive adulthood. He has written four books, and he now often takes his work to high school classrooms to reach out to teens.

A replay of the Mayor's Feb. 26 State of the City address will air on MHAT Cable Channel 19 this Saturday at 8pm, as well as Sunday at 9am, 1pm and 8pm. Additionally, Morgan Hill's Government Cable Channel 17 will air the presentation at 9am and 4pm daily, as well as Monday at 8pm, for the next two weeks.
