Saint Louise to offer breakthrough treatment for asthma patients

Saint Louise Regional Hospital announced today that it will be among the first in the U.S. to offer a new, minimally invasive procedure for severe asthma patients, according to a press release. 

From one child to another

Children ages 2 and 3 from Little Sonshine School in Morgan Hill donated 26 stuffed animals to Saint Louise Regional Hospital Tuesday afternoon. The stuffed animals will be given to comfort children in the emergency room.

Teen photography workshop Thursday

The Centennial Recreation Teen Center is hosting its first Teen Photography Workshop from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. It is free to all teens ages 12 to 18. Led by well-known photographer Noella Vigeant and the Centennial Recreation Teen Center, the workshop will be an interactive program focusing on modern photography and mobile devices, such as cell phones and iPods. Teens attending will learn about lighting, composition,and the latest photography apps. Along with the lesson, teens will be able to take photos at the workshop and gain hands on critique and interaction.

Fireworks to remain at Community Park

Morgan Hill’s annual Independence Day fireworks display will continue as planned at the Community Park July 4, according to the holiday event organizers.

Eagle run benefits Crossroads school

Run through downtown Morgan Hill at the inaugural Crossroads Christian School Eagles’ 5K Run and help the school’s health and fitness programs. Race registration opens at 7 a.m. May 5, with the race beginning at 8 a.m. The route begins at Crossroads school, 145 Wright Ave., and runs through the heart of downtown before ending at the school. All participants receive a T-shirt, re-usable bag, Specialized/CCS reusable water bottle and more. Register in groups of four and get a discount.
