Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the largest residential real estate brokerage in Silicon Valley, has started its eighth annual Habitat for Humanity fundraising campaign.
This year’s campaign, dubbed “100 Years of Homes and Hope,” is centered around Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation’s centennial birthday in 2006.
The campaign is part of the company’s ongoing initiative to support local Habitat for Humanity chapters in Northern California.
Over the past eight years, the foundation has raised $1.2 million through the efforts of its sales associates, managers, staff and clients in Northern California and they’ve participated in the construction of 40 Habitat for Humanity homes.
“More than ever, there is a tremendous need for affordable housing in our country, particularly in Santa Clara County and San Benito County,” said Joe Brown, president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Silicon Valley. “This fundraising campaign allows the people of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage to make a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate, to truly give back to the communities we serve.”
The campaign is running now through Sept. 1 in all 68 Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices throughout Northern California. Tickets are $2 each and the public is invited to participate. Checks should be made payable to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Community Foundation. All monies raised through the raffle will be donated to local Habitat for Humanity chapters. For more information visit www.newenglandmoves.com.
