Cold Stone Creamery stores throughout the country, including the Gilroy store, 890 Renz Lane, participated Thursday in a fundraising event for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Guests were treated to a free three-ounce serving of the Make-A-Wish ice cream creation developed by a 10-year-old boy named Cole, a wish child from Colorado.
Between 5-8 pm, customers were encouraged to make a donation to the foundation in exchange for the free ice cream. Donations that night and all month long will benefit the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
