Boosters golf tournament

The Live Oak High School Athletic Boosters Club still has openings for its first annual Golf Classic this fall.

Scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3, the tournament will be played at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course and Country Club in Gilroy. It will have an 11 a.m. shotgun start, and the Boosters are planning to accommodate 144 golfers for the event.

Included with the round of golf are the use of a golf cart and complimentary beverages on the course. “Tee prizes” will be available, with South County Chevrolet presenting a new car for the “Hole in One” contest.

There will be a buffet breakfast before the tournament, and a buffet dinner along with “silent auction” and raffle afterwards. Fees for the day will be $175 per golfer.

Youth hoops

Any interested boys or girls grades 1-12 who wishes to play in the SCBA basketball on Saturdays this fall can reserve a place by calling 460-7402. No walk up registration will be allowed at the team building jamboree at Britton Middle school this Saturday. The cost is $75 for returning players and $90 for new players.

Football mini camp

The Central Coast Barnstormers will be holding fall mini camps and tryouts starting Sat. Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. at SV Jr. High School Details: call Jose Rodriguez at 408-968-9574.
