LO hockey finishes first Division I season in playoffs
After moving up to Division I this spring, the Live Oak High hockey team capped its season with a 12-4 loss to Bellarmine in the first round of the playoffs at Rollin Ice in San Jose. The Acorns moved up to the toughest level of competition after capturing titles at the Division II and III levels in the fall and winter. LO’s meteoric rise to the top of the local hockey world stalled a bit against top-notch D-I teams but the Acorns return a solid nucleus next season.
