High Athletic Boosters Club will hold its Casino Night fundraiser
at Coyote Ranch. The event will be held from 6-10pm and the cost of
$60 per person includes dinner, all-you-can-drink beer, wine, or
soda, and $30 worth of playing chips. There will also be a silent
auction with a variety of items including a trip to Disneyland, a
Prom Basket, a Hot Air balloon ride, theater and dining in Morgan
Hill, San Jose and San Francisco, pizza for a Year, salon packages,
snow-ski packages, San Juan Oaks, AT

amp;T and Pebble Beach golf packages, wine tasting, and more.
There will also be a raffle for golf, Oakland A
’s tickets, Sabercats tickets, and more. There will be a Grand
Prize of an evening for two in Las Vegas. All proceeds benefit the

All Morgan Hill students (boys and girls) from both public and private schools entering grades 6-12 next year are invited to Lacrosse Week July 11-16 at the Live Oak Sports Camps. Live Oak High baseball camp
Learn how to play like a champion at the Live Oak High baseball camp this summer. The camp, which will run June 13-17 at Britton Middle School in Morgan Hill, will be taught by Tri-County Athletic League Coach of the Year Mark Cummins, the longtime Acorn baseball coach. Designed for players aged 7-14. the camp will include instruction on hitting, pitching, baserunning, fielding and game situations. There will be two sessions, the first for all fundamentals from 9am-noon, and the second for pitching only from 12:30pm to 2pm.

Aquatics Center signups
The Morgan Hill Aquatics Center is offering a 24-hour registration station at the center this season. Register for programs, passes, and classes 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The registration station is located to the right of the center entrance. Instructions are located on the wall behind the black drop box. Registration forms and envelopes are located at the station. If the class you sign up for is full, aquatics center staff will contact you to advise you of other options. Current office hours for registration are Monday-Friday noon to 7pm, and beginning this weekend will also be offered from noon to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition to the above options, you may also fax your registrations to (408) 782-2176 or mail them to 16200 Condit Road, Morgan Hill, CA, 95037. Season passes are also available and the center will offer water fitness classes, Masters Swimming, Lap Swimming, Swimming Lessons and Fun n’ Fit program.

MH’s Sherwin is May Ace
The Gavilan Niners held their May Ace Day on May 26 at the Gavilan Golf Course. Ace was Marlene Sherwin, Morgan Hill, net 32, second was Irene Rodriquez, San Jose, net 35, and third was Opal Imprescia, Gi;roy,net 36. Low putts went to Irene Rodriquez, San Jose, with 16. The Short Course Championship was held at Boulder Creek and Sunken Gardens Golf Courses earlier in May. Marlene Sherwin and Teri Swan from the Gavilan group came in third in their respective flights. The Gavilan Niners play each Thursday morning at the Gavilan Golf Course in Gilroy. Tee time is 8:30 am.

YMCA Camps
Mt. Madonna YMCA in Morgan Hill is now accepting registration for camps which take place at the Morgan Hill YMCA, 17666 Crest Ave. Half-day sports camps are for 3-5 year olds and take place June 13 through Aug. 19. The cost is $133/week. Full day sports camps include a soccer camp from July 18-22 and the cost is $223/week; basketball camp from Aug. 1-5 and is $223/week; Y-World of Sports from July 5-8 and from Aug. 15-19 and is $223/week; gymnastics camp from July 11-15 and is $290/week; and golf camp from July 25-29 and Aug. 8-12 and is $350/week. These camps are only for those entering grades 1-3 or 4-6. Registration deadline is June 17.

OVYSL U12 girls soccer needs players
The Orchard Valley Toros U12 Girls soccer team needs a few aggressive players for the fall season. This team of Gilroy and Morgan Hill girls play Class 1 competitive soccer and made it to the quarterfinals of the State Cup earlier this year. SJSU to hold pair of summer basketball camps
The coaching staff of the San Jose State men’s basketball program will be holding two four-day camps this summer. Session I runs from June 20-23 (Mon-Thu) and Session II runs from Aug. 8-11 (Mon-Thu). We offer early drop off that starts at 7:45am and late pick-up until 5:30pm at no additional cost. Please note that the camp runs from 9am-4pm. The cost of the camp is $155 for early bird registration and $170 for late registration. The dates for early bird registration is June 10 for session I and July 29th for session II. Camp staff will include the SJSU men’s basketball coaching staff, players, as well as other area coaches. The camp emphasis will be on fun as well as basketball fundamentals, skill enhancement, and team building.
