Affairs and Education councils.
The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce has formed Environmental Affairs and Education councils.
The purpose of the Environmental Affairs Council will be:
n To address environmental issues as they impact economic development, the business community and region.
n To establish and implement a sustainable quality awards program, which recognizes businesses and organizations, of all sizes, for their sustainable practices.
An organizational meeting of the Environmental Affairs Council takes place Wednesday, April 27, 8-9am at Paramit Corp., 18735 Madrone Parkway at Monterey Road.
The Education Council’s purpose includes the following:
n Addressing education issues.
n Creating and implementing activities and programs to recognize and thank educators and those who contribute to the education and training of students of all ages.
n Bringing together public and private education institutions, businesses either directly or indirectly engaged in education or education-related missions, civic and not-for-profit organizations that have education and/or training as an element of their mission, and individuals or businesses, neither directly nor indirectly involved with education but have an interest in the future of youth and adults and the education they receive.
The Education Council’s organizational meeting takes place Thursday, May 5, 4-5pm at South Valley National Bank in Tennant Station.
