The Perchlorate Community Advisory Group needs community members to attend an important meeting, 7-9 p.m. at the San Martin Lions Hall, 12415 Murphy Ave., San Martin. Attendees will formulate a response to the clean-up order for Olin Corp. As it stands, the order would not require Olin to do anything except monitor and provide bottled water for areas with wells that test less than 24.5ppb.

Gavilan College baseball and softball present a fundraising 4-man handicap scramble golf tournament, 11 a.m. at the Gilroy Golf Course, 2695 Hecker Pass Hwy., Gilroy. Donation is $85 and includes green fees, cart, prize, refreshments and dinner. An alumni baseball game will be held at noon on Oct. 27 at the Gavilan baseball field, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., Gilroy.
