Tickets are $12 for orchestra seating, $10 for general and $8 for children 12 and younger. There is a $2 discount with Associated Student Body card.
Interactive program for children
– An hour-long interactive program for children ages 7 to 12 focus on Henry Coe State Park’s natural and cultural resources and takes place at 2 p.m. Saturday. Topics include animals of the park, geology, mapping and orientation, and more.

BBQ aids exchange students
– The Mizuho Student Exchange Barbecue and Silent Auction will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, at the Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center, 16450 Murphy Ave. The event benefits the program, which will send 12 students and three chaperones to Mizuho, Japan in July.
Silent auction items include a telescope, tennis lessons, golf packages, jewelry, helicopter ride over Morgan Hill, HP Photosmart printer, fax and scanner, quilts, and time shares, to name a few.

Celebrate 8th Wildflower Day
– Pacheco State Park will host its 8th Wildflower Day from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Personnel from State Parks, the California Native Plant Society, the Central Valley Bird Club and many others will answer questions. There will also be free Wildflower Day crafts for kids.
A Birding Walk starts at 9:30 a.m. and a Wildflower Hike will depart at 10 a.m. Tours are limited. Sign-ups are first-come, first-served the day of the event. Later tours may be available.
Visitors may come any time during the day to enjoy the flowers, information tables and picnic area. The cost is the $5 state park day use fee per car. Facilities at Pacheco State Park are limited so bring water, layered clothing, sunscreen or hat and sturdy footwear. Visitors may also want food, binoculars, folding chairs and cameras. Pacheco State Park is located at 38787 Dinosaur Point Road, Hollister.

El Teatro celebrates women
– El Teatro Campesino celebrates International Women’s Month with comedies “Simply Maria”and “Food for the Dead” through Sunday at the ETC Playhouse in San Juan Bautista.
Performances are at 8 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 day of show for general admission and $10 for students.

Take a wildflower walk
– Take a leisurely two-hour stroll that will cover less than two miles and learn about the spring wildflowers from Henry Coe Park volunteers.
The guide will help plan more extensive hikes at the end of the leisurely wildflower walk, which begins at 11 a.m. Sunday. Meet in front of the visitor center. Bringing a lunch or a snack is advisable.

Flower lovers raise funds
– The Morgan Hill Flower Lover’s Club will hold its annual flower show, tea room, raffle, plant and white elephant sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Steve Yvaska will be there from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, to appraise a maximum of three items, the first of which is free. Additional appraisals are $10 each. Admission is free.
Boutique at Villa Mira Monte
– The Morgan Hill Historical Society is holding its annual Spring Boutique from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 8 and 9 at the Morgan Hill House at Villa Mira Monte, 17860 Monterey Road. Find Easter and Mother’s Day gifts, antiques, wood and hand-crafted jewelry, plants, Poppy Jasper and more.
Coffee with the mayor
– Mayor Steve Tate invites the public to join him for coffee 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9 at Hot Java coffee shop, 25 East Fifth St. The mayor wants to get input, hear questions, concerns, suggestions, praise, criticism – on whatever topics residents want to discuss.
