‘Arsenic and Old Lace’

The rangers at Coyote Lake are seeking volunteers to clean up litter along the shoreline, 9am at the picnic area parking lot. Bring work gloves. Snacks, trash bags and water will be provided. Prize for the most unusual item found.

It’s time for the Morgan Hill/South County Garage Sale Days, Saturday and Sunday. More than 175 houses have addresses listed in the Morgan Hill Times, Gilroy Dispatch and Hollister Free Lance, or pick up a list 7am-1pm at Y’a Bon Espresso, 226 Cochrane Plaza or 17300 Depot St., or the Chevron station on Cochrane Road at Madrone Parkway.

Rock Soup Nature Walk

Walk and talk with rangers about rocks and the make-up of Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch Park, 9am starting at the Coyote Lake Ranger Station. Bring hiking shoes, a hat, water and a sack lunch.

Used-Book Sale

The Friends of the Library used- book sale is held 1-7pm on Tuesdays, 10am-7pm on Wednesdays, 10am-1pm on Thursdays and 10am-5:30pm on Saturdays at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 W. Main Ave. Extended hours for the book store will become available as more volunteers join the Friends of the Library. Cost of membership is $10.

Campfire Program

The park rangers at Coyote Lake present various free ranger programs, 8-9pm every Saturday until the last weekend in September. Each program ends with s’mores and a story. There is a $6 vehicle park entry fee.
