New Classes Starting

The City of Morgan Hill Recreation and Community Services Division has released its winter/spring 2007 City Connection newsletter and activity guide and is accepting registrations for classes online at www.active.com/browse/morganhill, faxed in to 779-5450, or in person at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. The city offers classes for toddlers up to active senior adults at affordable prices. Scholarships are available for youth up to 18 years of age. A variety of classes are offered such as kindermusik, Hula dance, wheel-thrown pottery, qi gong, women’s self defense, CPR Heartsaver, guitar, smart homebuying and Seniorcise.

Walking/Hiking Group

Group meets each weeknight at 6pm for an hour-long moderately paced walk. Meet near the Morgan Hill Center sign at Hale and Main avenues. Group also meets at 9am on Saturday mornings for a longer walk. Rain or shine, year round. Dogs welcome. Free.

Alcoholics Anonymous

The Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center is hosting a monthly series of bird walks, 9-11am along Coyote Creek, led by Jane Haley, a 20-year National Park Service docent.
