Location: 18181 Butterfield Blvd., Ste. 180
Owner: Tracy and Zsolt Halmos
History: Tracy Halmos opened Individualized Physical Therapy in August 2003. The clinic offers treatment techniques that differ from traditional exercise-based physical therapy by focusing on manual therapy for most of the duration of the treatment. The office has three therapists, one Pilates instructor and an office receptionist. Tracy and Zsolt Halmos are the owners.
All therapists have received extensive training in “osteopathic manual medicine.” The approach blends manual therapy techniques such as myofascial release, muscle energy and strain counter-strain with sports rehabilitation and Pilates. Tracy Halmos has a master’s degree in physical therapy, is a certified athletic trainer and holds a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential.
Services: The business offers Pilates strength and flexibility training, Pilates classes that combine Pilates and “back education training classes,” where the emphasis is on core strengthening and starts at a beginner/modified level to suit low fitness levels wanting to return or begin a healthy exercise program in a safe structured environment. Classes are in a clinical setting with a limit of six students. The practice also offers other classes using other physical therapy tools and products such as the “Backstrap.”
Philosophy: To focus on patients’
individual needs.
