Bobcats defeat Solorsano on penalty kicks; get No. 1 seed
heading into playoffs next week
Morgan Hill – The Britton Bobcats boys soccer team took first place in league by defeating Solorsano Middle School on Thursday. The game ended in a tie with a score of 4-4 with two goals from James Walker and assists by Ismael Munoz and Adam Guerra. Sergio Vargas-Contreras scored with an assist by Dylan Frechette. The fourth goal came from Cesar Lustre with an assist by Frechette.

The game went in to penalty kicks to decide a winner. Dalton Vanden Brandhorning made an incredible save to give an edge to the Britton team. The penalty kickers were Frechette, Lustrel, Adolfo Canela, Guerra and Walker, who all scored their goals to give the Britton Bobcats the win.

A strong defensive effort by Eric Salinas, Alex Quintana, Paul Jensen, and Cesar Arellano helped the Bobcats advance.

The win over Solorsano gave the Bobcats the top seed in the playoffs, which begin Tuesday April 4th. The team is coached by Laurie Frechette and assisted by Chris Frechette.
