Live Oak High School received a bomb threat Tuesday by telephone from an out-of-state phone number, but local law enforcement has deemed the threat not credible.

Both local and out-of-state police and the Morgan Hill Unified School District are taking “necessary precautions to ensure that classes and school activities will continue as scheduled,” Principal Nick Boden said in a statement.

The spotlight has been pointed on Live Oak since May 5 when four students were asked to turn their American flag T-shirts inside out on Cinco de Mayo to avoid any confrontations, according to the district. Since that event at Live Oak, the story has gone viral reaching every major national news outlet, talk show, radio station and online.

The district is currently investigating the actions of Boden and Vice Principal Miguel Rodriguez on May 5.

More details to come as they become available.
