Morgan Hill Unified School District’s governing body will reconvene for its first of two March board of education meetings Tuesday after only single monthly sessions over the last three months.
The March 7 agenda includes a presentation on the district’s first year of annual accountability measures led by Glen Webb, MHUSD’s Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. Webb is scheduled to “provide a summary of the District’s results on the new California School Accountability Dashboard,” according to the agenda item.

•After-school programs report for 2017;
•School Facilities Needs Analysis Study;
•2016-17 Second Interim Budget for General Fund;
•Discussion on joining the National School Board Association;
•2017 California School Boards Association Delegate Assembly Election Ballots; and
•Adoption of April 25 as School Bus Drivers’ Day and April 26 as Administrative Professionals’ Day

Closed session remains busy with eight cases of existing litigation and one case of anticipated litigation, along with four properties being negotiated for “price and terms of potential purchase,” according to the March 7 agenda.

Project costs
—$2.5 million to purchase and install Gen7 Modular Buildings from American Modular Systems for use at Paradise Valley Engineering Academy as part of the campus modernization sitework project;
—$107,980 contract (Measure G fund) with Furman and Associates as the Inspector of Record for the Paradise Valley Classroom, Administration and Multi-use Modernization;
—$35,000 contract with API Design to supply Master Plan and Schematic Design for the district office; and
—$12,400 contract (Measure G fund) with North American Technical Services as the Inspector of Record for the in-plant inspection for the Paradise Valley Modular Classroom Project.
Retirements
Eleven district teachers have announced their retirement at the end of the 2016-17 school year. Those instructors are: Lucia Bonnaud (San Martin/Gwinn); Lisa Clark (Nordstrom); Marilyn Chong (Martin Murphy); Angela Hays (JAMM); James Hemeon (Live Oak); Tracy Murphy (Sobrato); William Robinson (Live Oak); Lourdes Robledo (San Martin/Gwinn); Thomas Sumpter (Live Oak); Debra Tawney (El Toro); and Heather Wallace (Martin Murphy).
