Assemblyman Luis Alejo, D-Watsonville, will host a town hall meeting on Thursday to discuss the state budget and its local impact, according to a statement from his office.

Alejo’s office noted that residents of the 28th Assembly District are encouraged to share ideas for improving state government and weigh in on the fiscal challenges facing California.

The town hall will be facilitated by the League of Women Voters of the Salinas Valley. It will be at the Salinas City Hall Council Chambers, 200 Lincoln Ave., Salinas.

Alejo is running for a second, two-year term in November.
