A great big thanks goes to all of the sponsors of the Live Oak Ag Boosters’ Spring Auction.

April 24, 2004, was a very special night for the Ag/FFA program. Our spring auction was a huge success. Among the auction attentendees was George Thomas Sr., whose signature is on the original charter for the Morgan Hill Future Farmers of America chapter. The chapter was started in 1930 and is still going strong.

We would like to send a great big thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters. We had state and chapter sponsors, such as: Associated Concrete, Cal Color Growers, Feather Haven Mills, Royal Oak Mushroom, Sakata Seeds, Uesugi Farms, Wells Fargo Morgan Hill Branch, Johnson Lumber and Sinaloa Restaurant.

We also had wonderful items donated to the auction from locals: Guglielmo Winery, Pedrizetti Winery, San Jose Giants Baseball, South Valley Developers, Bonfante Gardens, San Martin Veterinary Hospital, El Toro Brewery and Maurizio’s Restaurant just to name a few.

The event brought in 125 auction buyers and proceeds netted more than $7,500 to support the Live Oak High School FFA chapter, which strives to promote student’s personal growth, career development and agriculture education. The program boasts over 300 students.

Thanks again to all.

Vera Gomes and Kris Friebel,

Morgan Hill
