Hat tricks by junior Chase Norman and sophomore Kyle Dutra led
the Live Oak High hockey club team to a 10-5 victory over Monta
Vista in its regular season league match on Friday at Rollin Ice.
Dutra added five assists and Norman also had an assist for the
Acorns, who also received two goals each from sophomore Conner
Williamson and sophomore Brian Costello. Senior Matt Edgar and
junior Ricky Lasher also played a strong match. Live Oak now heads
into playoffs this week in second place and will get a first-round
bye.

Live Oak now heads into playoffs this week in second place and will get a first-round bye.
The Acorns will be challenged by several roster changes, including Lasher filling in as goaltender for stalwart senior Michael Anvari, Williamson out with an injury, and sophomore Scott Alexander still recovering from an injury.
In its playoff opener, LO will face off against the winner of the Pioneer-Piedmont Hills first-round matchup. The match is set for Saturday at 7pm. The winner will advance to the championship game on April 1 at 8pm.
