The Santa Clara County Library District’s Bookmobile is taking on a creepy, supernatural twist as Halloween and Day of the Dead approach. The moving education station has branded itself the Spookmobile and transformed into a mini natural history museum as it tours the county over the next few days.

The Spookmobile features hands-on exhibitions of natural and unnatural specimens, such as bones, shells and plants. Kids can test their bone knowledge, then get creative in making a brain hat. In South County, the Spookmobile will make the following stops before Halloween: 5:30-6:30pm Oct. 28 at Sobrato Apartments, 9355 Monterey Road in Gilroy; 5-6:30pm Oct. 29 at Cochrane Apartments, 18555 Butterfield Blvd. in Morgan Hill; and 5:30-7pm Oct. 30 at Jasmine Square, 16530 Monterey Road in Morgan Hill.

Kids and families can visit the Spookmobile at any of these stops for free.

Last week, the Spookmobile stopped at Park Place apartments in Morgan Hill on Oct. 18.
