Well, we’re officially a month into school, and the heat of
spirit is just warming up. Just this past weekend we had our first
big bash, the annual Sadie Hawkins dance. The Sobrato Bulldogs
joined our crazy Nuts at the Coyote Ranch for a fun- filled
evening. Activities included hay rides, bonfires, getting hitched,
and of course, dancing.

Live Oak also had its back to school rally on Sept. 9 displaying its fall sports and campus clubs. Performances included Varsity song and cheer, JV cheer, and our Live Oak Hip Hop team. The highlight of both rallies was our surprise give-away. Students were shocked to see that it was nothing short of a mini ipod! A student from each rally was chosen at random to come down and receive their prize. I know I’m really looking forward to our next rally.
Homecoming is right around the corner! The week of October 17-21 is packed with spirit days, a rally, homecoming court, floats and fun! I’m sure everyone will be looking forward to the Bay Cruise dance on Oct. 15 out in the San FranCisco Bay.
I want to wish all our football boys the best of luck at their tournament in Truckee this coming Friday. Go get’em nuts!
