Morgan Hill resident Aaron Anthony Ocampo was arrested for the second time for his alleged involvement in a Super Bowl night shooting that left two people dead in San Jose.
Police responded to reports of a shooting about 2:20am Feb. 8 on the 100 block of Paseo de San Antonio in downtown San Jose. Responding officers located two men suffering from gunshot wounds, says a press release from the San Jose Police Department.

Despite emergency first aid provided by paramedics, both victims were pronounced dead, police said.
Officers quickly identified and located a suspect vehicle, and contacted the car’s occupants in west San Jose, police said.
During the investigation, detectives identified Ocampo, 24, as the suspect. Ocampo was arrested and booked at Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of homicide, but was released while officers conducted additional follow-up investigations, according to police.
Officers later obtained a warrant for Ocampo’s arrest, this time on suspicion of manslaughter, police said. Ocampo surrendered to San Jose Police on March 22, and was booked again at the county jail.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation, says the press release. The deaths were the second and third homicides of 2026 in San Jose.
