Staff Report

At midnight on Jan. 1, 2006, Guglielmo Family Winery will release a special limited bottling to commemorate the year-long Centennial celebration of the City of Morgan Hill and benefit local charities.

The bottling will include 100 Jeroboam-sized bottles, with the history of Morgan Hill silk-screened in gold. The wine will be a special 2003 Santa Clara Valley cabernet sauvignon that the Guglielmo Winery has reserved for the occasion. A Jeroboam, also known as a double magnum, holds the equivalent of four standard size bottles.

The Centennial Morgan Hill Committee will make the limited edition bottles available at cost to local charities, which can in turn sell or auction them to raise charitable dollars for their own programs.

The wine bottle will be unveiled at midnight at the Centennial’s opening celebration, “Club 1906” on New Year’s Eve at the Morgan Hill Community Center.

Tickets and details are available at www.mhcentennial.org or at (408) 778-8305.
