Bryan Jones and Orin Catrett will be representing Live Oak in
the Annual Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star Football Game on
Wednesday at San Jose City.
Bryan Jones and Orin Catrett will be representing Live Oak in the Annual Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star Football Game on Wednesday at San Jose City.

The Silicon Valley Youth Classic is in its 29th year of honoring local graduating senior high school football players and is put on by the Almaden Valley Rotary Club.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m.

Jones and Catrett will be joined on the South team by Gilroy’s Tony Beal and Brian Lopez.

Jones will be attending the University of Puget Sound in the fall. For the Acorns, he was selected to the First Team All League and was named as the JV Most Valuable Player.

He was the Team Defensive Player of the Year and team captain. He was a scholar athlete all four years.

Catrett will be attending West Valley College in the fall. He was known for his versatility in the Live Oak offense, playing quarterback and receiver.

He was selected to the First Team All League Offensive team. Catrett was the team Most Valuable Player and team captain after starting on varsity all three years.

He recorded 1,690 all-purpose yards. Catrett also had 28 tackles, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
