MORGAN HILL POLICE

Battery: A Morgan Hill resident reported two suspects tried to hit him while he was parked at the M&H Tavern, but he didn’t get out of his vehicle. He told police the suspects damaged the vehicle instead by kicking it. The report was taken on Sept. 29 at 2:41 a.m.

• The father of a 4-year-old girl who was allegedly hit in the face told police he suspected the mother’s boyfriend. The report was taken at 6:42 p.m. on Sept. 30.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her ex-boyfriend punched her and grabbed her neck and turned off the engine of the Volvo she was trying to drive away. She told police the ex-boyfriend then drove away in the vehicle. The report was taken on Oct. 1 at 8:56 p.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported the new 19-year-old girlfriend of her ex-husband assaulted her. The resident said she went to the ex-husband’s apartment to talk about child visitation and the girlfriend attacked her, pulling her hair out, hitting her nose and scratching her. The report was taken at 8:20 a.m. on Oct. 3.

Auto burglary: A cell phone was stolen from inside a car parked at Target while the owner was sleeping. The report was taken on Sept. 29 at 3:56 p.m.

• George’s Auto Service reported someone stole 500 CD’s and a $300 stereo from a vehicle on Sept. 30. The report was taken on Oct. 2 at 10:15 a.m.

Burglary: A tool box on a construction truck parked overnight at a site on Curry Avenue was broken into. The locked box was damaged and tools were stolen from the box. The report was taken on Sept. 29 at 7:05 a.m.

• Another theft of tools was reported in the neighborhood, on Sage Avenue, where Shea Homes is building new homes. The report was taken at 8:32 a.m. on Sept. 29.

• Zubow Realty reported a window on the First Street side of the business was broken and someone entered the business overnight. It was unclear at the time of the report if items were stolen. The report was taken on Sept. 30 at 8:34 a.m.

• A resident of the Windmill Mobile Home Park reported the resident’s locked shed was broken into and tools valued at $800 were stolen, including a weedeater, hedge trimmer, leaf blower and hand tools. The report was taken at 10:13 a.m. on Oct. 2.

Vandalism: The rear window of a vehicle parked at the 200 block of Tennant Avenue was shattered overnight. The report was taken on Oct. 3 at 8:53 a.m.
