illness.
Matilda “Tillie” Agler, 85, died at her San Martin home after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Agler was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. She moved to the South Valley at the age of 2. She was a Gilroy High School graduate. She married her husband June 7, 1941, and worked as the community services director at Gavilan College from 1960s through the 1970s. She was a member of the Wheeler Hospital Auxiliary and the sewing group of both Wheeler and South Valley hospitals, and chartered other clubs of the area. She also was a member of Women in Touch and of the San Martin Presbyterian Church.

She was the loving wife of Bill Agler of San Martin; loving mother of Jo Ann Agler Ayres of Concord and Bill Agler of Boise, Idaho; grandmother of Ellen Agler, David Agler and Matthew Ayres; daughter of the late Gustav and Lillian Brodersen; sister of Iver Brodersen of Fullerton and the late Marvin Brodersen.

Private family services will be held under direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
