A crowd of happy Morgan Hillites watched Saturday night as Mayor Dennis Kennedy turned on the City of Morgan Hill’s official Holiday Tree after the Holiday Lights Parade. The rain mostly held off while the Magic Ship of Christmas, with its special guest from the North Pole, family-made floats and conveyances, including strollers, wagons and at least two gift boxes made their way up Monterey Road downtown. After the parade and the tree lighting, everyone moved on to the Community Center for the Festival of Trees, a Rebekah Children’s Services evening.
