Battery: A Morgan Hill resident reported he was involved in some kind of road rage incident. When his car and a Honda Civic stopped at the traffic light at Monterey Road and Main Avenue, a male suspect got out of the Civic and punched him in the face. The report was taken at 11:50pm.
Sept. 17
Petty theft: Goodwill of Santa Clara County reported someone stole a BMX sport bike valued between $30 and $50 from the store. The report was taken at 2:45pm.
Sept. 18
Burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported she was away from home for two days, and when she returned, she noticed tools were stolen from the garage. The report was taken at 9:22am.
Stolen vehicle: A Morgan Hill Department of Public Works truck was stolen from the parking lot of the McDonald’s restaurant in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center. The keys were left in the truck. The report was taken at 10:45am.
Grand theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported a Specialized bike valued at approximately $6,000 was stolen from the Vineyard Town Center shopping center. The report was taken at 2:42pm.
Fraud: A resident of Morgan Hill reported a male suspect wrote a $500 check to his wife on a closed account. The report was taken at 3:12pm.
Petty theft: A resident of San Ramon Drive reported someone stole his cell phone. He told police he left the cell phone on the back of a vehicle while he was playing football. The report was taken at 6:50pm.
Sept. 19
Stolen vehicle: A resident of Terracina Apartments reported someone stole a locked Saturn from the parking lot at the complex overnight. The report was taken at 7:14am.
Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported his cell phone was stolen from the seat of his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the Farmers’ Market on Tennant Avenue. The report was taken at 9:08am.
Auto burglary: A resident of Terracina Apartments reported a locked Honda Accord was broken into overnight. Speakers and CDs were stolen, and the interior of the vehicle was damaged. The report was taken at 9:14am.
Fraud: A contractor reported more than $2,000 was charged to his account at Johnson Lumber/Ace Hardware on Tennant Avenue. He said he has a possible suspect. The report was taken at 12:21pm.
Petty theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported his cell phone was stolen from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the Home Depot on East Dunne Avenue approximately two weeks earlier. The report was taken 4:58pm.
