A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 17th, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the “In Christ Church” 2300 Airline Hwy, Hollister, CA.

 Verna Mae Larson had a vibrancy and excitement for life that couldn’t help but follow her as she radiated it to all around her. She loved her family and friends unconditionally, as her incredibly warm and selfless heart knew no limit for giving to others. She possessed an optimism and free spirit that was evident to all that knew her.

Verna Mae Larson, 72, of Hollister went to be with Jesus, her Lord, on November 8, 2012, after a short illness. Many people will remember her from the many years that she worked for the San Juan School District as a Nutritionist/Cook and School Bus Driver. Her hobbies and interests were many. Some of her favorites include: RV Camping, women’s softball, Special Olympics, home repair/improvement, Eastern Star and attending as many of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities as possible.

 Verna leaves behind her Partner in Life, Ellen Severinsen, sons, Robert P. (Cathy), Samuel K. (Mary) Larson and adopted daughter Karen DeRosa. Grandchildren Lacy Diaz (Joshua), Kelsey, Haley, Gracie, Curtis and Sally Larson, Allison and Adriana Mota and Trevor, Russel, Reagan and Erica Brown. Siblings: Elsie Tidwell and Gordon Lipska (Becky). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Family preceding her in Heaven are Robert Larson Sr., her son Allen W. Larson and granddaughter Kimberlyn Larson. Also her parents Alfred and Agnes Lipska, siblings: Dean A. Lipska, Harold A. Lipska, and Bernice I. Odom.

 In lieu of flowers donations are preferred to Special Olympics at Sonc.org/kintera/donate
