Michael “Mikey” Grant Paidl lost his battle to cancer on October 24th, 2012, at his home in Hollister surrounded my his loving family and the young age of 60. He was born in St. Helena, CA on March 28, 1952.

 He moved to Hollister in 1965 with his parents Joseph and Patricia Paidl, where he attended RO Hardin Elementary School, San Benito High School and graduated from Palma High School.

 He married the love of his life, Caryn Paidl in 1976. He was a machinist by trade for more than 20 years working for Weibe in Hollister. Then became a Self-Employed contractor for another 20 years.

 He enjoyed being a Grampa to his only grandchild Taryn, who always put a sparkle in his eyes, hot rods, 4-wheeling, building radio controlled airplanes and trucks, traveling to Puerto Vallarta Mexico, animals, boating, camping and most of all, enjoying life.

 He is survived by his loving wife, Caryn Paidl, daughter Tracey Paidl and her husband Toby Lavender, granddaughter Taryn Lavender, mother Patricia Paidl, Father Joe Paidl and Shirley Paidl, sisters Lisa Staben and husband Rob and Shelley Lomanto and husband David, Sweet Pea the cat that wouldn’t leave his side, mother-in-law Barbara Corona, Sister and Brother-in-law Kim and Mark Cirelli, and numerous nieces and nephews along with so many close friends that he loved so much.

 He was preceded in death by best 4-legged friend Harley, grandparents Philo and Ramona Grant, Frances and Joseph Paidl, uncles and aunts James Paidl, Theresa Paidl, Donald and Mary Jones, Merle and Betty Priddy, and father-in-law Bob Cirelli.

 Services to be held Friday, November 2nd, 2012, at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. A celebration of life at the Tres Pinos Hall will follow immediately after.
