Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Vigil was at 6:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th St., Gilroy, CA. Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at 12 Noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 100 First St., Gilroy, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Joseph D. Silva, age 87, passed away on December 2, 2012 peacefully at his home. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Silva and his son, Daniel Silva.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Louann (Mike) Corbin, cherished granddaughters, Melinda (Jon) Van Pelt and Carrie (Brandon) Medeiros, great-grandchildren, Maddie, Caden, Chloe, Jack and Abby and his sister Barbara Dal Maso.
