Two dead in string of wrecks; bus passengers elude tragedy

Santa vandalism

 -Four teens in santa hats where seen Dec. 20 at 9:56 p.m. at the corner of Sunnyside Avenue and Watsonville Road damaging a stop sign. The teens ran into the bushes and were not located.

Road blocked by skateboarders 

-Dec. 20 at 7:52 p.m. five youth in dark clothing riding skateboards were reported to be blocking the corner of Main Street and Hale Avenue.

Found iPhone

-Dec. 19 at 8:32 p.m. on Hale Avenue an iPhone was located after the owner’s purse was reported missing. The phone was found via the GPS chip, though no other belongings were found. The culprit was not determined.

Dog bite

-A victim Dec. 21 at 1:20 p.m. on the 15000 block of Vineyard Boulevard was bit on both arms by a dog. An ambulance was called and the victim was treated on the scene as the dog was contained.

Driver hits dog on leash

 -An unknown suspect driving a white Ford truck Dec. 19 at 4:43 p.m. at the corner of Peak Avenue and Dunne Avenue hit a dog on a leash. The driver then took off southbound on Santa Teresa Boulevard and was not apprehended.

Hit-and-run

-A hit-and-run driver Dec. 21 at 1:58 p.m. was reported near the corner of Monterey Road and Vineyard Avenue. A man driving a silver Honda Accord was on his way to the World Gas Station when he was hit by the female driver in the silver Acura.

DUI

-Andres Fransisco Molino, 21, Dec. 19 near the corner of Monterey Road and Madrone Parkway was arrested for DUI. This occurred after Molino reportedly almost ran another vehicle off the road traveling at speeds of up to 90 mph. Molino was cited and then released.

-Oscar Deleon, 34, Dec. 20 on the 16000 block of Monterey Road for a DUI. Deleon was taken home in a cab following the stop.

-Sean Burch, 39, Dec. 21 at the corner of Maine Avenue and Butterfield Boulevard was arrested for a DUI while pulling into the train station parking lot. Burch was taken to the main station for booking.

-Barbara Clifton, 43, Dec. 21 at the corner of Sunnyside Avenue and La Visita Court for DUI. She was booked in the Morgan Hill jail, then taken to the county jail.

Use of a controlled substance

-Bret White, 32, and Jennifer Berberian, 29, Dec. 19 at 6:58 p.m. on the 600 block of Jarvis Lane were arrested for use of a controlled substance. This followed both individuals having an altercation at their apartment. The two were arrested, placed in the Morgan Hill Jail, cited, then released.

Fire

-Dec. 20 at 4:54 p.m. a fire was reported on Murphy Springs Court. The caller mentioned smoke but no flames. The fire department was notified.

Repossessed vehicle

-Dec. 19 at 12:47 a.m. on Jasmine Way a 2003 red Ford Expedition was repossessed without knowledge of the owner. The car was taken to the city lot and impounded.
