Kelly Pearman tragically passed away July 29, 2017 in Santa Barbara, CA. Kelly was born San Jose, California where she attended Easterbrook Elementary School. In 7th grade Kelly moved to Morgan Hill and attended Martin Murphy Middle School where she was president of the student body in 7th and 8th grade.
Kelly attended Ann Sobrato High School, she was active in numerous extracurricular activities: playing basketball for three years, captain of the cheer team, active in student politics, all while maintaining very strong grades. She was an incredible leader at Sobrato, always helping others and serving as class president for three years.
In Fall 2016, Kelly interned for Senator Dianne Feinstein in Washington D.C. Subsequently, Kelly worked as a personal assistant and intern for Congressman Salud Carbajal in Santa Barbara.
Kelly graduated cum laude from UCSB where she served as ASUCSB senator.
She is survived by her sister Allison Noelle, her parents Cynthia and Robert Pearman, and a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her brother, Justin Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that Kelly’s love of learning be remembered through a UCSB memorial scholarship in her name:
