Carl Maggio September 12, 1929 – February 6, 2017

Carl Maggio, 87, passed away on February 6, 2017, in Sonora, CA, at the home of his daughter, Carlene. Carl was born on September 12, 1929, to parents Beatriz and Anthony Maggio, and he grew up in El Centro and Los Angeles.
As a young adult, he entered the family produce business, which was his career until he retired. He married Mercedes in 1956 and moved to King City, where they started their family. He lived in the Salinas Valley until retirement in the 1980s, and then moved to Scottsdale. He returned to California in 2016. Carl lived life to the fullest and was outgoing and gregarious. He was quick with one-liners and loved to make people smile.
He loved golf, foreign languages, telling jokes, and most of all, his large extended Italian family. Carls life was long and happy, and his exit was peaceful. He will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held in Hollister, at St. Benedicts Catholic Church at 2:00 P.M. on March 11, 2017.
