The Santa Clara County Farm Bureau, in cooperation with American AgCredit, will be awarding Fall 2016 college scholarships and inviting high school seniors with interest in an agricultural major to pick up and submit applications at the Farm Bureau office (605 Tennant Avenue Suite H in Morgan Hill).
The application deadline is Wednesday, May 18.
Applicants must plan to major in agriculture and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better. Awards are based on scholastic achievement, career goals, leadership skills, community involvement and accomplishments, according to SCCFB officials.
Applications include a contact information form, brief list of questions, transcripts, personal statement and two letters of recommendation. Once all applications have been received, students will be contacted by the Santa Clara County Farm Bureau to set up an interview with the Farm Bureau’s scholarship committee. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail following the interviews. Monetary awards will be mailed directly to the recipient’s college or university once school begins.
To request an application, please check with your school’s office that handles scholarships; or text your email address with the words “Farm Bureau Scholarship” to (831) 818-1193; or email the Santa Clara County Farm Bureau at
