 James Masami Yamane passed away on May 11, 2016, surrounded by his family in San Jose, CA. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bennie Yamane and nephew, Christopher Yamane. 
 He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Tadako Yamane; daughters, Ellen (Kedar) Roy and Janet Yamane; sisters, Daisy Tsujimoto, Grace (Pat) Limones and Nancy Yamane; and sister-in-law, Carol Yamane. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
