Stolen vehicle
A white 1990 Honda Accord was stolen from the parking lot of Wal-Mart, 170 Cochrane Plaza. The crime was reported 9:43 a.m. Aug. 24.
A thief or thieves stole a Honda from a residence on Hill Road, and the vehicle’s owner later found the car in a ditch not far away near Maple Avenue. The crime was reported 10:38 p.m. Aug. 22.
Someone stole a red 2015 Toyota Camry from a residence on the 16400 block of Del Monte Avenue. The crime was reported 1:24 p.m. Aug. 22.
Burglary
Someone broke the rear glass door of a home on San Ramon Drive and burglarized the residence. The crime was reported 10:49 p.m. Aug. 19.
Recovered stolen vehicle
A 1997 Honda Civic reported stolen out of Gilroy was found at Carl’s Jr. restaurant, 16995 Condit Road in Morgan Hill. The vehicle was found 1 a.m. Aug. 20.
Gas line ruptured
A gas line was broken on Vineyard Boulevard, behind the Tennant Station Safeway store. Businesses and residents in the area were advised to shelter in place until the gas was shut off. PG&E arrived shortly after the gas leak was discovered and shut off the valve. The incident was reported 11:15 a.m. Aug. 24.
Construction crews working on utility undergrounding hit and broke a gas line on Monterey Road near Bisceglia Avenue. The ruptured gas line was reported about 10 a.m. Aug. 29. Businesses and residences in the area were evacuated, and emergency crews spent the morning and early afternoon repairing the rupture.
