The second annual Morgan Hill Veterans Day Run will take place Nov. 12, with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. and the races starting at 9 a.m. outside The Running Shop and Hops, 17500 Depot Street.

The Veterans Day 5K/10K run/walk is hosted by Morgan Hill Freedom Fest, the local nonprofit that organizes annual Independence Day festivities in town. The purpose of the Veterans Day Run is to honor the men and women who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. Registration fees help raise funds for veterans organizations The Mission Continues, The Muddy Patriot, Team RWB, Sean M. Walsh K-9 Memorial Foundation and Operation: Care and Comfort. Proceeds will also benefit Freedom Fest.
