Cajun food coming soon to Morgan Hill

Hi Red Phone, I live in Morgan Hill, and over the last year and
a half I have been paying my Charter Cable bill, that is in my
ex-wife’s name. I have repeatedly tried to get the cable bill in my
name, and they won’t make any changes.
“Hi Red Phone, I live in Morgan Hill, and over the last year and a half I have been paying my Charter Cable bill, that is in my ex-wife’s name. I have repeatedly tried to get the cable bill in my name, and they won’t make any changes. They said that my ex-wife needs to go to the office to disconnect the cable then I can put it into my name. But she refuses to do so, she does not return my phone calls and her last name is not the same as mine anymore. Can you help me with the cable company so I can get it into my name or cancel if I want. Do you have any suggestions?”

Dear Needs Help, Red Phone does have a suggestion. Get satellite television, quick!

Red Phone called Charter Cable in Gilroy and after navigating their phone menu was able to get another number. Red phone called that number, and after navigating through another phone tree, got a live human who provided a number for a company spokesman. So, 10 minutes later, Red Phone’s on the trail. Finally, Red Phone was able to connect with company spokesman Chris, who refused to give his last name. He said the only way to correct the problem is for your wife to come in and cancel the account.

“We can’t go any further than that by law,” said Chris, who could not provide the statute that prevents them from actually helping customers.

Red Phone does have an answer for you. If the account is in just your ex-wife’s name, stop paying the bill. Eventually, Charter will cancel her account, which should not impact your credit standing. Then, you can open a new account in your name. Or, you could just get satellite television and never have to deal with a cable company again.

Good luck, good caller.

Thanks for response about traffic laws,

“Red Phone, thanks for answering the question about police and traffic laws. I was wondering this myself. Last week, I saw a Morgan Hill officer text messaging while driving along Monterey Road. I wouldn’t think this could be safe or responsible, under any circumstance.”

Dear Safe or Responsible, you are correct that it is not safe, but police are exempt from cell phone laws and traffic laws when responding to emergencies. But, they must obey all traffic laws when not responding to emergencies.

Thanks for reading, good caller.
