Santa Clara County officials are looking into the pile of debris

Red Phone, what’s happening on Llagas Road in Morgan Hill?
Red Phone: Dear What’s Going On, Red Phone contacted David Gittleson, an associate engineer with the city, who said a new water main is being installed along Llagas Road, and a pressure reducing system which will connect the existing Llagas Booster Station to the city’s Llagas water tank. Whew, that’s a mouthful. Essentially, good caller, what the upgrades will do is speed up water delivery to the tank and bring residential water pressure into normal range.

The construction will occur between Christeph Drive and Rose Orchard and will be finished at the end of August, Gittleson added.

Hope that answers your question.

Someone please clean the debris

“There is a home on Hill Road, that has been under construction for more than two years. The builders have piled the construction debris out front in a huge pile. It has been there so long others apparently think it’s the local dump and have been adding their household garbage to it, including old mattresses. I would have thought the city would have noticed long ago and told them to clean it up. It sure is an eyesore! Can you help? Thanks!”

Red Phone: Dear Can You Help, Red Phone contacted Kathy Molloy Previsich, community development director, who said the home is not located in city limits. So Red Phone contacted Gary Rudholm, senior planner in the Santa Clara County Planning Department. He said he forwarded the complaint to the zoning investigation staff as well as the building inspection office.

“Our field inspectors will determine whether a violation exists, either with the zoning ordinance, the building code, or both, then commence enforcement,” he said.

Stay tuned good caller, Red Phone will provide an update.
