2009 Essence Awards, recognizing teams and coaches that promote and
demonstrate the best sportsmanship through the season
MORGAN HILL — Spirit of Morgan Hill Girls Softball League has announced its 2009 Essence Awards, recognizing teams and coaches that promote and demonstrate the best sportsmanship through the season. Coaches are nominated by their peers.
The league has honored the following teams and coaches for its five divisions:
T-Ball: Butterflies, coached by Roland Ourricariet.
Minors: Marigolds, coached by Jen McBain and Carol Lawless.
Juniors: Rockets, coached by Barry DesRochers.
Majors: Bobcats, coached by Mike Peternal and Dan Martinelli.
Seniors: Storm, coach by Mark Wiselogel and the Murphys.
