The aromatic lure of garlic will reach AT&T Park in San Francisco once again Friday, June 21 as the second Annual Giants Garlic Fest — in community partnership with the Gilroy Garlic Festival Association — will be held in Seals Plaza at 5 p.m. prior to the ball club’s game against the Miami Marlins at 7:15 p.m.

“We have once again partnered with the Gilroy Garlic Festival to bring the premier garlic celebration in the nation north to the shores of McCovey Cove,” reads the Giants Ticket News announcement.

The Giants Garlic Fest will give fans a sneak peak at the new gourmet dish of garlic fried calamari, which was unveiled by the Gilroy Festival organizers at a press conference in Morgan Hill last month.

Ticket packages, which are still available on www.sfgiants.com, include a ticket to the Friday evening game against the Marlins; admission to the Giants Garlic Fest event in Seals Plaza at 5 p.m.; Gilroy Garlic Festival-themed Giants tin with mints (only redeemable with the special event ticket); and complimentary serving of the garlic fried calamari.
