State Sen. Abel Maldonado re-introduced Cole’s Law, which would allow children who have been molested or abused to testify against their attackers via Closed Circuit TV.

Maldonado introduced AB 2143 last year in the Assembly, but it failed in committee. Joining Sen. Maldonado in the announcement was San Luis Obispo Assistant District Attorney Lee Cunningham, who with Cole’s family, has been leading the charge, to get Cole’s Law passed.

“This is not a Republican or a Democrat bill. It is the right bill to fix a dangerous hole in our legal system,” commented Senator Maldonado.
