 Helen I. Gardner, 83, passed away in Hollister, CA, Sunday, July 14, 2013. Helen was born in Grand Forks, ND on May 14, 1930 ,to Halvor and Inga Kvasager.
 She moved to Hollister in 1952. She was the mother of two children, Kathy and Steve. Helen or “Miss Kitty”,  as she was fondly called owned and operated the Tres Pinos Inn from 1969 through 1978. She also owned and operated other restaurants in San Juan Bautista and Tres Pinos. She also worked for the Elks Club and K & S Market for many years.
 She was charismatic, an excellent cook and never thought twice about helping someone out.
 Her children, Kathy Fehlman of Gilroy; Steve Gardner and daughter-in-law, Yolanda of Greenfield, survive her. Helen was also the proud grandmother of Kenny Fehlman (deceased), Craig Fehlman (Shelly) and Jonathan Gardner. She was a great-grandmother to Caden Fehlman and is also survived by her sister, Gladys Ring of Grand Forks, ND as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, Halvor and Inga Kvasager, her brothers, Harry and Elrod Kvasager, her first husband, Ronald Ault, her second husband Robert Gardner, her son-in-law, Richard Fehlman and her grandson, Kenny Fehlman.
