Eddie Plascencia had 18 points and 14 rebounds to help Live Oak’s boys basketball team open Blossom Valley Athletic League play with a 75-43 rout of visiting James Lick on Wednesday night.
Luke Laguna added 17 points for the Acorns (6-5), who got 13 points from Cole Griffin and 11 points from Ardean Salvador.

Leland 3, Live Oak 2 – Shannon Rauschnot and Alissa Pham scored one goal each, but the host Acorns (3-2) lost their BVAL opener to the Chargers.
Pham and Macey Dunne had assists for Live Oak, which trailed 2-1 at halftime.
