Richard (Dick) Jeske passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Richard was born October 10, 1936 in Port Huron, Michigan. He was 1 of 13 children and predeceased by his father Ernest, mother Mereda, brothers Clifford and William, sisters Edith and Avon. Dick was a devoted husband and father and is survived by his wife Janet of 51 years, daughter Carole Jeske, son-in-law Richard Braquet, sons; David Jeske, Stephen Jeske, daughter-in-law Lori Jeske, 5 grandchildren; Stephen, Christopher and Justin Jeske, Devin and Katie Hogue, great-granddaughter Allie Hernandez, all of Gilroy, sisters; Betty LaFountain, Morgan Hill, Joyce Tate, Port Huron, Donna Mulch, Gilroy, Rosie Levitte, S. Carolina, Pat Caspary, Hesperia, brothers; Jack Jeske, Merced, James Jeske, Texas, Ronald Jeske and their families. Dick had so many friends who will miss him dearly.

Raised in Michigan, Dick served in the army for 3 years, married Janet West and moved to Gilroy in 1957. There he became a carpenter, created his family, moved back to Michigan where he became a general contractor and back to Gilroy in 1972. Dick retired in Morgan Hill. Dick love to fish, bowl and spent all his extra time doing things for his family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park. A memorial to celebrate his life will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, May 25, 2007 at Gilroy Presbyterian Church, 6000 Miller Ave., Gilroy.
