Congrats to Music Man Cast
Dear Editor,
Congratulations to the cast, staff, orchestra, and crew for a wonderful opening-night production of The Music Man earlier this month. The 70-strong cast, the set, and costumes were amazing. Thanks for a wonderful, family-friendly show right here in Morgan Hill that all could enjoy. It is great to live in a town that has such strong ongoing support for Community Theatre. This one was a must-see.

Trails Committee Chairman Was Unprofessional
Dear Editor,
Shame, shame on Carl McCann, chairman of the city’s Bicycle Trails Advisory Committee, for his inexcusable behavior at the June 28 meeting regarding the trail study which was held at the Morgan Hill Community Center.
The meeting was open to any and all who wished to voice an opinion regarding the trail studies.
Jackson Oaks residents were primarily in attendance as the study directly affects these residents. However, residents who did not live in Jackson Oaks proper were also in attendance to voice their opinions pro or con on the project.
Mr. McCann’s name calling, during the meeting, by citing ALL Jackson Oaks residents as being “elitists, Nimbys, bullies, selfish,” etc., was unprofessional, uncalled for, inappropriate and childish. If Mr. McCann wished to debate an issue with an individual then he should have addressed that individual on a one-to-one basis in a professional dialogue. To publicly degrade an entire housing community was outrageous.
Mr. McCann needs to publicly apologize to all of the residents of Jackson Oaks, present and not present, he so egregiously insulted in his capacity as chairman of BTAC. After that, he might take some lessons from the people of the Public Works Department in how to maintain professionalism and set a good example when “chairing” a town hall meeting.

Julie Touched Many Lives
Dear Editor,
Our El Toro Elementary School community is saddened by the loss of a treasure. Julie Pusateri, a valued parent of three wonderful boys, will not be forgotten.
She gave of her time to improve the level of education for all of our students. Wherever there was a need for help, Julie filled that need. She did it with a smile and a spirit that everyone appreciated.
For 14 years, Julie was involved in the classroom, the workroom, helped in the office, held every position in the Home and School Club, coordinated many traditional events like the book fair (one of her favorites), was on numerous committees to help raise money for education, tended to the medical needs of many students at El Toro and was available at a moment’s notice.
It would be hard to measure the number of lives touched by Julie. Her selflessness and giving nature are what will be remembered during her time at El Toro. As teachers, we are touched by her willingness to give of her time and her commitment to all of El Toro’s students, as parents we are moved by her devotion to her sons Jonathan, Nicholas and Daniel, and as friends we are grateful for the valued time we shared with Julie.
We can all see and hear Julie cheering for the people she loved, celebrating every milestone with all of her heart and making every moment count, especially for her boys.
She gave so much of herself and her legacy will live on in the many, many lives she touched. The example set by Julie will stand the test of time for those of us who follow her lead. Julie will be missed, but not forgotten.
Our thoughts are with her husband, Nick, and her three sons.
