Sitar Indian Cuisine Holds Bake Sale to End Childhood Hunger
Sitar Indian Cuisine restaurant, 110 Cochrane Plaza, is contributing 20 percent of its appetizer and gift certificate sales through Aug. 12 as part of Share Our Strength Great American Bake Sale, a national campaign dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America.
Sitar’s appetizers include tandoori breads, vegetable samosas, onion bhajis, aloo tikkis and pakoras.
The Share Our Strength Great American Bake Sale is a national campaign that mobilizes people of all ages to help end childhood hunger in America by holding bake sales in their communities.
Funds raised are granted to local organizations that work to increase participation by low-income children in summer and after-school feeding programs and to support nutrition education programs for low-income families.

South Valley National Bank Opens Another Branch
South Valley National Bank has opened another branch in Morgan Hill.
The new branch, located at the Madrone Village shopping center, 715 Cochrane Road, Ste. 100, had a soft opening July 16. The bank’s first Morgan Hill office opened Aug. 15, 1983 and is located at 500 Tennant Ave. The bank also has an office in Gilroy at 8000 Santa Teresa Blvd. The bank will have a grand opening Aug. 30 at 5:30pm. A ribbon-cutting before grand opening.
