Leigh Mary Gibson passed away at the age of 62, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends, after a short illness.

Born in Deluth, Minnesota, she came to Hollister in 1977. Leigh graduated from Fresno State College and received her degree as a Registered Nurse in 1967. She was vice-president and co-owner, along with her husband, Mark, of the Gibson Farms. Along with having a generous spirit that was felt throughout our community, Leigh had a stimulating and engaging personality that ingratiated people to her. She had an inquisitive mind and an artistic flair that was shown in the beauty of her home. Leigh loved antiques and was especially fond of her antique dog collection.

She is the loving wife of Mark A. Gibson of Hollister and devoted mother of Nicole Dunn, husband, Christopher, of Hollister, loving grandmother of Darryn Dunn of Hollister, sister of Linda Swofford, husband, Marlin, of Danville and Corey Mimura, husband, Ken, of Fresno, aunt of Chad and Sean Swofford , Eryn Caster and Todd Allen.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 15, 2007 at 11 A. M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 1200 Fairview Road, Hollister.

Contributions are preferred to Cuddly Critters; The Connie O’Connor Education Fund, or your favorite charity, in care of the funeral home.
